Welcome to my blog. With world events happening at such a rapid pace and deepening in intensity I thought it was time to have my own blog. I will be commenting on a variety of topics but today I must comment on what is happening in the Middle East. Even though I hate war because of the misery it brings to innocents, I am relieved that Israel has finally reached their limit and is saying "No more."
It is at times like this that the world's antisemitism rises to the surface. Most of the world hates Israel and for no good reason. Israel is one of the few thriving, moral democracies in that region and it is surrounded by people who have been taught at an early age that Jews are animals and should be destroyed. How do you counter that mindset? You can't negotiate with it. You have to fight it with force unfortunately. Israel has a right to defend herself and I hope the U.S. and President Bush will stand with her all the way through no matter how tough it gets and let's face it....it's going to get much tougher.
We as individuals and as a country need to stand arm-in-arm with Israel.
